If you want to spend more time with your children and grandchildren, a mother-in-law suite is an excellent way to do that. If your children are planning on buying another home, many have pre-existing mother-in-law suites. These “suites” can either be an attachment to a home, or a stand-alone house that has one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. The stand-alone structures are small enough to fit into a back yard.
